POLICE responded to an alarm about illegal gambling in Arellano Street, Cebu City and were shocked to discover that one of the three arrested persons was a fellow policeman.
PO2 Rolito Estrobo of the Siquijor police was caught sniffing shabu along with 18-year-old Shawnie Marie Dumo.
A third suspect, Carlo Magno, was playing on a video carrera machine when operatives of the Cebu City Public Safety Company and Waterfront Police Station arrived on Monday night.
PO2 Estrobo denied any wrongdoing. He said he was arrested because some policemen had an axe to grind against him.
It was Estrobo’s batchmate, SPO1 Jaime Misa, who caught him using shabu. Both policemen were recruits of Batch 2002.
Estrobo was previously assigned in Cebu City and then Mandaue City in 2006 before he was transferred to Siquijor.
