Isuzu Cebu Inc. has recently started operation in its brand new dealership along A. Soriano Avenue at the North Reclamation Area (NRA) in Cebu City.
The new showroom and service center had its soft opening two weeks ago after a year of planning and six months of construction.
The bigger dealership, which will replace the branch along Archbishop  Reyes Avenue, is expected to have its grand opening next month to be highlighted events such as the Isuzu Fair 2015 and the Truckfest.
Isuzu Cebu branch head Dodong Castanares said he is optimistic and excited with the new location, saying it would really help boost sales of the Japanese brand known for its tough and sturdy vehicles.
“We see the North Reclamation Area as a major commercial and traffic area, so a lot of customers will be passing by here,” Castanares said in an interview with Cebu Daily News last June 26.

He said the advantage of the new dealership compared to the Archbishop Reyes Avenue branch is that it is bigger and more accessible to the public.
He said the old dealership was too congested. And since Isuzu vehicles have continued to grow in numbers lately, Castanares said a bigger dealership that can accommodate their customers was really needed.  The NRA branch, he said, is three times bigger than the Ayala branch.
Castanares also said sales has improved since they opened their new dealership.
“The new showroom is turning out very well, more than what we expected,” he said. “We’re selling more here as compared to our branch in Ayala. The sales has really doubled. We’re expecting that the growth will be exponential.”
Aside from the NRA branch, Isuzu Cebu Inc, which is a member of the Ayala Group of Companies, also has branches in Mandaue, Talisay, Bohol and Iloilo.
Among the vehicles being sold by the dealership is the hot-selling MU-X midsize sports utility vehicle. Other noted vehicles being offered by the Japanese automaker are the D-Max pickup truck and the ever-reliable Crosswind Sportivo. The dealership also sells heavy-duty trucks.
