7 fishermen missing, 7 vessels cancel trips

SEVEN Cebu fishermen were reported missing since Thursday night.

Their pump boat left Isla de Gigantes  and was believed to have capsized  between Madridejos town in Bantayan island and Panay in western Visayas.

The Coast Guard in Central Visayas has advised vessels in the area to look out for any sign of the missing fishermen and to provide necessary assistance.

As of last night, 7 vessels voluntarily cancelled trips.

1. Ocean Jet 88 – Cebu to tagbilaran (107 passengers)

– 11:40 a.m., 4:20 p.m. and 6:30p.m.

2. MV AZNAR 2- Toledo to San Carlos (no passengers)

3. MV CITY OF BACOLOD – Toledo to San Carlos (no passengers)

4. MV ST BRAQUEL – Cebu to Tagbilaran (5 passengers)

5. ST JUDIEL OF SUPERCUT – Cebu to Ormoc (45 passengers)

6. MV SUPER SHUTTLE 24 – Hagnaya to St Fe (20 passengers)

7. MV ISLAND EXPRESS V – Hagnaya to St Fe (45 passengers)
