FOREIGN teams dominated the 2nd Annual International Cebu Ladies 10’s Rugby Cup at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) last Saturday.
This after the Gai Wu Rugby Football Club of Hong Kong and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore clinched the Dragon’s Claw and Dragon’s Head plums, respectively, in the one-day tournament that featured five other teams including host team Cebu Lady Dragons.
Gai Wu RFC of Hong Kong defeated fellow Chinese squad Valley Meerkats, 7-5, to win the Dragon’s Claw while the NTU RFC defeated Chinese University of Hong Kong, 10-5, to secure the Dragon’s Head trophy.
The host team Lady Dragons were defeated by the Hong Kong Lady Kukris, 5-12, in the eliminations but they put on a good fight, winning two matches against the Hong Kong Lady Kukris, 12-0, and the Manila Mayhem, 10-0.
