One-stop shop opens for Mandaue products
A one-stop shop for Mandaue-made furniture, fashion accessories, food and other products will open later today at the City Times Square.
The shop, called #iammandaueshop, will feature products from 40 Mandaue-based companies, said strategy communication manager Genee Lou Nuñez.
Also to be launched today is a mobile application that will notify users of the promos available at the #iammandaueshop as soon as they are within 500 meters of the shop, said MCCI executive director Marlene Bedia.
A memorandum of agreement was signed between the MCCI and developer Red Star last week.
Among the participating companies are Glo Anse Handcrafted Products (handicrafts), Ian International (gift items), Jelma Philippines (White Flower Oil/Embrocation), Mandaue Foam Industries, Inc. (home furniture), Cebu Glass Crafters/Kima Glass (glass), and zero three two (garments).
Roger Paller, Mandaue public information officer, said the shop is a joint project of the city government, Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the private sector and City Times Square, which will provide the 130-sq.m. commercial space for the shop without charging rent for the next three months.
It will contain a coffee shop and showroom. Prices are affordable, Paller added.
Featured products are either Gold or Mugna, which are made in Mandaue, and Silver or Bahandi sa Sugbo, which are made in other parts of Cebu province.
