THE Department of Education (DepEd) has reassigned officials in Central Visayas region effective September 1.

Dr. Juliet Jeruta, DepEd region 7 director, said she received an order signed by Education Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro through the Office of Undersecretary for Regional Operations Rizalino D. Rivera.

“It (reassignment) is done every five years as we follow DepEd’s 1999 guidelines for reassignment, appointment and transfer,” Jeruta told Cebu Daily News.

Dr. Rhea Mar Angtud, former Cebu City superintendent, now heads the Cebu Province division.

She will be replaced by Dr. Virginia Zapanta, who was reassigned from the Division of Mandaue City to the Division of Cebu City.

Dr. Arden Monisit, former superintendent of Cebu Province, is reassigned to the Division of Mandaue City.

Dr. Joseph Irwin Lagura was reassigned from the Division of Siquijor to the Division of Toledo City. His post in Siquijor will be occupied by Dr. Ronald Gutay, who used to head the Division of Toledo City.

Dr. Marilyn Andales was reassigned from the Division of Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental to the Division of Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. She will switch posts with Dr. Eduardo Ompad, former Lapu-Lapu City superintendent, who was appointed to head the Division of Guihulngan City.

Meanwhile, Dr. Wilfreda Bongalos remains at the Division of Bohol since she has  been working only for three years in her assignment, said Jeruta.
