THIS YEAR’S Private School Athletic Association (Prisaa) regional meet will be held in Cebu City next month.

Prisaa Region 7 president Fr. Vic Uy decided to transfer the hosting chores from Bohol Province to Cebu City since the former is still recovering from the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that hit the province last October.

Some of the sporting facilities in Bohol are still damaged, so organizers of the annual collegiate multi-sporting meet decided to hold the event in Cebu City.

Prisaa secretariat head Bernard Ricablanca said Fr. Uy also wants to lessen the burden of Prisaa member schools in Bohol in preparing for the meet.

Cebu City has been the core of the Region 7 team that participates in the national championships, wherein it is three-time champion.

Because of this, Ricablanca said Central Visayas will be receiving the Don Manuel Angeles Memorial award this coming April during the Prisaa national finals in Tagum City for winning three straight championships.
