Games today
Cebu Coliseum
2:30 p.m.-  UV vs USC (Jrs., For Third)
4:00 p.m.-  USC vs USJ-R (Srs.)
5:30 p.m.- SWU vs UV (Srs.)

IN THE end, it was all much ado about nothing. This, as the Cesafi Board of Trustees opted to keep the revised schedule for the final day of the semifinal round in the men’s basketball tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.

The development was relayed by league commissioner Felix Tiukinhoy to Cebu Daily News which means that the unbeaten University of San Carlos Warriors gun for a sweep of this round against the still alive and kicking University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars at 4 p.m.

Then, the University of the Visayas Green Lancers try to take care of business as they seek to put down the defending champions, Southwestern University Cobras for good in the main offing at 5:30 p.m.

The scheduled games yesterday were postponed after USJ-R protested the sudden change in schedule which placed them in the 4 p.m. match rather than the 5:30 p.m. salvo. They intimated that they were not consulted regarding the change of schedule, thus a Board meeting was called yesterday evening to resolve the matter.

With the results last Thursday seeing the Warriors nip the Green Lancers in overtime, 79-75, and the Jaguars upending the Cobras, 81-75, complications are aplenty with regards to the finals berths which will finally be determined by the end of today’s college twinbill.

As it stands, USC holds a 2-0 mark while UV and USJ-R is tied at 1-1. SWU is bringing up the rear at 0-2. The top two teams at the end of this round-robin Final Four will advance to the best-of-five finals series which begins on Tuesday.

In the curtain-raiser at 2 p.m., the UV Baby Lancers and the USC Baby Warriors will duke it out for the third place honors in the juniors division.
