This time, Ana Maria Jordana-Quisumbing, 56, is giving politics a try.
Quisumbing filed her certificate of candidacy for Talisay City councilor under the slate of Vice Mayor Romeo Villarante who is seeking the mayorship next year.
Villarante’s group is allied with the Nationalist Peoples Coalition (NPC) of presidential candidate Grace Poe.
“I wanted to give politics a try in fulfillment of my dreams,” Quisumbing said after she filed her COC.
Quisumbing said she was considered resigned as Tourism Officer II of the Cebu City Tourism Commission (CCTC) when she filed her COC yesterday.
The Jordana family is from barangay Cansojong in Talisay . They own one of the city’s rattan export firms called Casa Cana Inc.
Quisumbing was hired as tourism officer II under the CCTC shortly after Rama assumed office in July 2010.
