Siso siblings bag crowns in Peugeot Tennis Cup in CdO
CEBUANO tennis stars Sally Mae Siso and Bernardine Siso continued their winning ways as they crushed their respective opponents to capture the women’s open and men’s open titles in the Peugeot Tennis Cup on Sunday in Cagayan de Oro City.
Sally Mae, who recently won the women’s open title in the CitiGreen Tennis Cup, asserted her dominance in the same division to come up with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Janelle Carmela Llavore for the title.
Bernardine Siso, on the other hand, took home the men’s open title by routing Danilo Sanjonia in identical winning scores, 6-3, 6-1.
In the women’s doubles category, Sally Mae teamed up with Charrise Java and beat the pair of Janelle Carmela Llavore and Anjelica Devi Mosqueda, 6-1, 6-3, to win the title in the division.
But Bernardine wasn’t as lucky as he and Bernan Lou Bering lost to the top-seeded duo of Danilo Sanjonia and Lenario Autentico, 6-1, 7-5, in the men’s open doubles championship game.
The winners in the tournament will earn a spot in the National Finals, where a trip to Paris, France to watch the 2016 French Open is at stake.
