AFTER finishing second in the Cesafi volleyball tournament, the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Lady Jaguars will have  little time to celebrate as they contend in the beach volleyball competition of the 20th Philippine University Games (UniGames) on Oct. 24 to 30 at University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City.
Multi-titled USJ-R head coach Grace Antigua revealed this information to Cebu Daily News after their finals loss to the Southwestern University (SWU) Lady Cobras in the recently concluded Cesafi women’s volleyball tournament.
The stint in Bacolod will also serve as preparation for the Lady Jaguars in the upcoming Cesafi beach volleyball tournament, which starts next month at the Aznar grounds.
The sports events lined up in  the upcoming UniGames are badminton, basketball, chess, men and women’s athletics, men’s football, lawn tennis, men’s sepak takraw, men and women’s swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball and men  and women’s karatedo.
Over 40 schools/universities from around the country have confirmed their participation in the said event.
