THE Cebu Provincial Board will ask different government agencies to intensify their efforts to ensure the safe observance of the upcoming All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day.

The PB in an approved resolution is asking the Land Transportation Franchising Regulation Board (LTFRB) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to ensure the safety of the passengers by conducting unannounced road worthiness and safety inspections in major bus, minibus and V-hire terminals in the province.

Aside from that, law enforcement agencies are also asked to intensify their efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of the occasion.

The Department of Trade and Industry will also be asked to strictly monitor the prices of candles, matches, lighters, paints and flowers during those days.

The local government units will also be asked to clear public cemeteries of illegal settlers.
