Seeking council’s help

THE drivers and operators of vans-for-hire (V-hires) are seeking the Cebu City Council’s help in their appeal to Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama to allow them to use the One Citilink Terminal in N. Bacalso Ave. after the Citilink management secured a court order to reopen the terminal.

The V-hire drivers and owners complained of lesser income while based at the Compania Maritima as compared to their income at the One Citilink Terminal.

Councilor Sisinio Andales said since there is a temporary restraining order from the court, it is imperative that the city government must comply with that order.

The Cebu City government closed the Citilink Terminal last July, but the terminal management got a temporary restraining order on the closure order last September.
