Preparing for Christmas

AS the yuletide season draws near, the Cebu Provincial Board is calling on concerned government agencies to increase the frequency of their inspections in stores to stop the sale of fake Christmas lights.

Board Member Miguel Magpale, who sponsored the resolution approved by the PB, said this is to protect the right of the consumers and ensure the peaceful celebration of the season.

According to the Standards Law, the DTI’s Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS) requires manufacturers and importers of “critical products” under its list of Philippine National Standards (PNS) for mandatory certification.
