Alabang Eagles bag men’s crown in Cebu 10s Rugby
THE ALABANG Eagles maintained their dominance from start to finish to rout the Panay Pirates, 31-0, and claim the men’s championship in the 8th Annual Cebu 10s International Rugby Festival over the weekend at Cebu International School in Talamban, Cebu City.
The home team Cebu Junior Dragons, were also victorious in the meet, taking the U-16 title by beating the visiting Davao Rugby team, 5-0.
The Junior Dragons will look to ride on their momentum as they head to Calamba, Laguna to compete in the Asian Juniors Rugby competition this Saturday.
In other divisions, Team Jet Solutions took home the U-12 and the 13-above championship trophies.
The U-12 squad of the Jet Solutions won over Team Asia Pacific while its 13-above team ambushed Supporting Enterprises, 3-1.
In other finals game, Team Asia Pacific seized the Under-9 crown with a 5-1 triumph over Kryptonite.
Tournament director Maggie Royo extended her gratitude to their sponsors for the rugby competition. They are Jet Solutions, Asia Pacific, Kryptonite, Supporting Enterprises, the Social Cebu and Emerald Isle.
