Anti-illegal fishing task force seize dynamited fish at Liloan checkpoint

ABOUT 482 kilos of assorted dynamited fish were confiscated from a truck at a checkpoint in Liloan town at 11:30 p.m. last Wednesday.

Lawyer Chad Estella, task force coordinator, said a team intercepted the truck and apprehended five men including the driver at the checkpoint.

The task force intercepted this blue truck at a checkpoint in Liloan town around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The truck, with temporary plate number 122609, was carrying dynamited fish allegedly from Masbate to Pasil market in Cebu City.

They will be charged with violating the provincial fisheries ordinance for transporting dynamited fish.
