A robber, who only got loose change from a taxi driver whom he robbed, drove off with the vehicle and then abandoned it a few meters away.
Rogelio Veloso, driver of Joysellemar taxi with plate number GXC-463, said that a male passenger flagged him down near a government hospital in Cebu City and told him to proceed to barangay Tangke, Talisay City.
When they reached barangay Tangke, according to the driver, the passenger poked a knife at his neck and declared a holdup.
Out of fear, Veloso said he jumped out while managing to take his day’s earnings which he kept in his pocket.
He said that the robber sped off with his car.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, the car was found abandoned near the area.
