Noontime road accident kills Kalunasan resident
Jeare del Campo, 31, died on the spot after a wing van hit him while he was crossing S. Osmeña road past 12 noon today.
A Kalunsan resident was killed after he was hit and runover by a wing van while crossing Baclig Street fronting the Quimonda building in Cebu City at noontime today.
Jeare del Campo, 31, died on the spot while van driver Rony Beldeber, Jr. was taken into custody by the Cebu Ports Authority (CPA).
Traffic investigators said Del Campo was on his way to Quimonda building and was coming from S. Osmeña road crossing to Baclig Street using the designated pedestrian lane when he was hit by the speeding wing van.
Beldeber who came from Lapulapu City was headed for the port area to deliver bread about 12:48 p.m.
