A 45-YEAR-OLD farmer was shot dead during a drinking session in his home at the start of the New Year in Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Paterno Belandres Amancio succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.
Police said Amancio was drinking with his helper at home when shots were fired.
Amancio slumped to the floor bloodied.
Police said the victim’s daughter saw motorcycles drive off after the gunshots.
Police recovered two empty shells of a 9mm caliber pistol outside the house.
