A man, who robbed a taxi driver, was arrested a few hours after the robbery in sitio Paradise, barangay Kinasang-an, Cebu City last Saturday.
Aaron Ariesgado, 19, was arrested in his residence near the crime scene during a police follow up operation after the taxi driver reported the robbery to the police.
Police also recovered the more than P2,000 cash that Arriesgado took from the taxi driver, Richard Estela, during the robbery.
Estela, 38, told police that Arriesgado boarded the Juscar Taxi unit he was driving in downtown Cebu City at past 9 p.m. last Saturday.
Arriesgado asked to be taken to Talisay City, but when they reached Kinasang-an, Arriesgado pulled out a gun and declared a holdup.
