A MAN was arrested after police found packs of suspected shabu and a firearm in his house during a raid in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City yesterday morning.

Israel Bryan Trinidad Pulvera denied owning the 9mm caliber pistol and two packs of suspected shabu that the police said were seized from his house.

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) were armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Teresita Galanida.

Supt. Fermin Armendarez III said the man was placed under surveillance after some residents complained that the man indiscriminately fired guns on several occasions.

Police said Pulvera introduced himself in the neighborhood as a member of the military.

Police said bullet holes were found in the concrete fence of the house.

Pulvera admitted he had once fired a .38 pistol to test its quality before the gun was sold to a friend.

Police said charges for possessing illegal drugs and an unlicensed firearm will be filed against Pulvera.
