A MAN considered by police as the number one drug personality in Mandaue City was arrested last Tuesday afternoon.

Police said packs of suspected shabu worth P177,000 were recovered from the house of Dino Dajao, 43.

Police raided the suspect’s house on the strength of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court  Judge Teresita Abarquez-Galanida of  Branch 56.

Police also arrested Dajao’s neighbor, Raymund Dakay, 25, who was in the house during the raid.

In Lapu-Lapu City, a barangay councilman and four other men were arrested in a buy-bust operation Tuesday night.

James Godornes, 32, a councilman in Poblacion, was arrested after police caught him inside the house of Roger Sadile, who was one of the subjects of the raid but eluded arrest.

Also arrested were Randy Igot, 46; George Raba, 25; John Kerk Villarosa, 18; and Elmer Bonghanoy, 42.

Police said Sadile sold a pack of shabu worth P200 to a poseur-buyer but ran when police moved in.

Except for Bonghanoy, the arrested persons were caught possessing shabu, police said.

Close to P200,000 worth of suspected shabu were recovered during the operation.

Police said Bonghanoy was about to buy illegal drugs when police made the arrests.
