THE Cebu provincial government and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regional office have suspended work tomorrow, January 29, to help ease traffic for the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) procession.

All roads leading to the Capitol will close at 12 midnight for the event.

Provincial information officer Ethel Natera said the whole-day suspension is applicable only to provincial government employees and offices.

Both Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale will attend the celebration.

“For other offices located within the compound that are not under the provincial government, we will just give them an advisory that this is what’s going to happen on Friday,” she said.

Establishments near the Capitol grounds will also be issued a traffic advisory. Natera said all preparations are handled by the IEC organizers and they only provided the venue.
