A 52-year-old fisherman, who went fishing despite suffering from hypertension, went missing in the seas of Talisay City last Friday afternoon.
The Talisay City Local Disaster Risk Reduction Office (LDRRO) and the Coast Guard Central Visayas searched for fisherman Delfino Macoto of Sitio Ratan, Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, after he was reported missing near the Lagundi Reef.
Macoto’s wife told authorities that Macoto was not feeling well and was suffering from headache believed to be caused by hypertension.
Despite this, he went out to fish at past midnight Friday. He had not been seen since. Only his empty boat was found.
