CEBU FOOTBALL Association’s (CFA) booters put up an impressive performance in last weekend’s Philippine Football Federation- Festival of Football (PFF-FOF) in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
CFA sent four squads to join the qualifying tournament for the National Team training pool for the boys’ under-12, girls under-12, boys under-14 and girls under-14 teams that will compete in AFC Regional Tournaments.
The U-14 girls squad of CFA finished its campaign undefeated. It first snatched a win against Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA), 3-1, and then humiliated Negros Oriental Football Association (NORFA), 10-0. It finished its campaign with a 5-1 win over Iloilo.
Nicole Badinas, Trizza Musni, Pinky Soco and Rizzamae Ugbaniel were chosen as the division’s all-star booters.
The under-12 girls squad was also undefeated. It beat NORFA, 8-2, and NOFA, 9-0. In its second round, CFA again defeated NORFA, 9-3, and NOFA, 5-0.
CFA’s under-12 boys started with a 3-3 draw against Iloilo but was able to beat NORFA, 2-1, in its second game. But it lost to NOFA, 0-2, in the last game.
CFA’s under-14 boys team finished their campaign with two wins and a single loss.
