A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was found dead nine hours after he drowned in the seawaters of Barangay Poblacion, Dumanjug town, southwest Cebu on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Jovelito Caballero was reportedly gathering sea grapes with his cousin Edmund Altareba, 11, and his uncle Edgar, when he and Edmund accidentally stepped on a slippery rock and fell into a deep portion of the water.

PO2 Ronilo Quirante of Dumanjug police said that fishermen who saw the incident claimed that Edgar first saved his son Edmund.

When  it was time for him to save Caballero, the victim could no longer be found. A fisherman later found Caballero floating at around 8 p.m.
