A 17-year-old girl from Lapu-Lapu City committed suicide by ingesting liquid cyanide after she found out that she was pregnant from her former boyfriend.
Brenda (not her real name) left a suicide note to especially seek the forgiveness of her mother.
Police also found a bottle of liquid cyanide locally known as “kuskos” inside Brenda’s room.
PO3 Luisito Ernie of the Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Station said Brenda’s classmates told police of her pregnancy from her ex-boyfriend.
Her current boyfriend did not know that Brenda, a second year college student, was pregnant, Ernie added.
