SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI), the charity arm of the SM Group of Companies, joined relief operation efforts on March 17, delivering goods to the fire victims currently staying at the Cebu International Convention Center grounds in Mandaue City.

SM Foundation Inc., together with SM Supermalls in Cebu, Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7), and Mandaue City Social Welfare Office, led the distribution of relief goods.

Living by its motto “People Helping People,” SM Foundation launched the Operation Tulong Express, a charity campaign which aims to answer the call of those who have been affected by calamities.

All throughout the year, SM Foundation conducts charity projects under four areas of advocacy—education through scholarship programs and donations of schoolhouses; health-oriented projects like medical missions, mobile clinics and hospital activity centers; religious community projects and mall-based outreach programs
