Gullas files libel complaint against Talisay mayor’s son
FORMER Rep. Eduardo Gullas yesterday filed a libel complaint against the son of Talisay City Mayor Johnny V. delos Reyes for allegedly calling him a “kawatan” (thief) on a radio program.
Accompanied by his lawyer Oscar Capacio, Gullas went to the Talisay City Prosecutors’ Office to file the case against Talisay City Administrator John Yre Delos Reyes.
Gullas said he was never accused of theft in his entire life and that Delos Reyes’s tirades over DYRC last Jan. 19 ruined his reputation.
“Kanang moingon og Atty. Eduardo “Kawatan” Gullas. Dili na libel?” he said in a report aired by the Cebu Catholic Television Network.

The Gullas patriarch, who is running for Talisay mayor in the 2016 election, said all the properties owned by his family are products of hard work and honest toil.
CDN tried but failed to reach Delos Reyes through the phone yesterday.
