Sorongon wrests 10k tiara of Run for Eruf

SULTAN Kudarat’s Ruffa Sorongon topped the 10-kilometer distance of the Run For ERUF yesterday.

Sorongon crossed the finish line at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel Cebu grounds with a time of 43 minutes and 15 seconds. Geniecel Sabella settled for second place, clocking 46:06 while Carla Cosep placed third with a time of 56:14.

Abraham Kilimo topped the men’s side, finishing in 33:34. Fellow Kenyan Eric Chepsiror was at second place with a time of 33: Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation38 while Sherwin Managuil of Zamboanga placed third, clocking  37:42.

In the 5k race, another Kenyan emerged victorious in Joseph Mururi (17:14). Cherry Andrin topped the distaff side in 23:34.

The running event was organized by the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel for the benefit of the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation (ERUF).
