Legazpi City – John Marvin Rafols showed why the triple jump is his favorite event. Rafols contributed another gold for Central Visayas when he topped the secondary boys triple jump event of the 59th Palarong Pambansa at the Albay Sports and Tourism Complex.
“I was really confident going into the contest. I expected to win the gold since my focus was on the triple jump,” said Rafols, who bagged his second gold in the Palaro after winning the long jump event last Monday.
Rafols sealed the golden finish with a 14.65-meter leap in his fifth jump.
