One dead, P1.4 million worth of shabu seized in Medellin

ONE person died while P1.4 million worth of drugs were seized in an operation at barangay Lamintak, Medellin town at 5 p.m. last Tuesday.

SPO1 Reynaldo Solante of the Provincial Intelligence Branch said Hanzel Valiente was shot on his left leg by police after he pulled out his KG 9 submachine gun while inside the house of Ariel Ortega, the target of their operation.

Ortega managed to escape while Valiente died due to loss of blood.

Confiscated from the house were assorted firearms and ammunition and 100 plastic sachets containing 120 grams of shabu worth P1.4 million.

Police also arrested Dominador Golisao, Richard Pradilla and Kurt Catana who were allegedly employed as watchers by Ortega, who had a piggery and sells meat to the Medellin public market.
