THE three suspects of a shooting incident in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City on Wednesday last week were each charged with murder and two counts of serious physical injuries yesterday afternoon.

Asacino Tagalog, 30; Niel Garido, 35; and Mark Padaon, 29, all of Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City, were positively identified by witnesses as the persons responsible for shooting dead Ramsey Dequilla, 30, and injuring Bryan Roldan, 21, and Roda Guinto, 58, who were hit by stray bullets.

Tagalog was arrested a day after the shooting in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City by policemen led by PSupt. Melbert Esguerra, chief of the Intelligence and Detection Management Branch (IDMB).

A team from Centro Police Station led by PO1 Christian Avila also arrested Garido last Friday at 10 p.m. in Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Guizo. A plastic sachet of suspected shabu was also found in his pocket.
Padaon is currently at large.

According to PSupt. Esguerra, Dequilla was a police informant who reported the illegal drug activities of the suspects.

Tagalog and Garido admitted to killing Dequilla when interrogated by police.
