CEBU City Acting Mayor Margarita Osmeña lifted the suspension on the leave of absences of all Cebu City Hall employees this month.

“For the reason that the transition is (proceeding smoothly), the suspension of all applications for leave of absence is revoked,” Osmeña said.

She said any application for leave of absence will be processed based on the guidelines under the Civil Service Commission and City Hall’s Human Resources Development Office.

Last May 18, Osmeña issued a memo recalling applications and approved leave of absences after she assumed as acting mayor to ensure continuity of service.

She said most department heads loyal to outgoing Mayor Michael Rama went on leave like City Administrator Lucelle Mercado who is out of the country and City Legal Officer Jerone Castillo who went on indefinite leave.
