AS part of its corporate social responsibility project called Alay Kapwa, OLX teamed up with World Vision Development Foundation Inc. to raise funds to support the education of a child from a low-income family in Cebu.

Launched last April, Alay Kapwa seeks to help improve people’s lives. OLX rallied individuals from Manila and Cebu to donate their pre-loved goods to raise funds for World Vision.

From April to May, donated items were sold through the OLX platform and an offline pop-up store in the OLX Cebu office. Proceeds from items purchased onsite and on-ground were donated to the partner organization to support one of its beneficiaries.

A two-year sponsorship was raised for a World Vision’s selected beneficiary from northern Cebu to cover her education, health and nutrition needs.

A ceremonial turnover of donations was held at the OLX office in Cebu to commemorate the partnership.
