A MOTORCYCLE for hire (habal-habal) driver landed in the hospital after he was stabbed and robbed by his two passengers around 9 p.m. last Thursday in Barangay San Roque, Talisay City. Ben Tarong, 25, of Barangay Labangon, Cebu City sustained a stab wound in the abdomen and was brought by residents to Talisay District Hospital.
Police investigation revealed that the two unidentified men asked Tarong to bring them from SM Seaside City in South Road Properties to Talisay City. Upon reaching the place, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. The two then took the victim’s motorcycle with plate number GD 36008.
Meanwhile, a farmer was shot dead around 9 p.m. last Thursday in the mountain barangay of Tapol in Talisay City. Ryan Cañedo, 25, of the said place, was on his way home after a drinking session when an unidentified man shot him several times.
