The suspected gunman in the slay of Pastor Crisostomo Maternal was killed in what police said was a shootout in Barangay Guadalupe Tuesday night.

Cebu City Mayor-elect Tomas Osmena posted the development in his Facebook fan page.

Oliver “Kabang” Devilleres was identified by the police as the assailant.

He was shot dead by members of the Guadalupe Polis Station in his hideout along Andres Abellana.

“All members of Pastor Jun’s murder are now accounted for,” Osmena said.

Maternal was a pastor and anti-drug crusader in Barangay Bonbon, Cebu City. He also campaigned for Osmena in the last elections.

Earlier this month, murder cases were already filed against two other suspects, Garry Daclan, the suspected mastermind and Benjie dela Cerna, the driver of the runaway motorcycle, before the Regional Trial Court (RTC).
