THE Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its annual general membership meeting and election of the Board of Trustees on June 17 , 2016 at the City Sports Club Cebu.

As part of the general membership meeting, MCCI President Donato Busa presented the accomplishments of the chamber for the fiscal year 2015-2016.

During his presidency, the chamber faced a lot of challenges and opportunities that enabled MCCI to be involved in various local and international activities including APEC 2015.

MCCI, in partnership with the local government of Mandaue City, organized the Expo Mandaue in Oakridge Pavilion last October and was later invited to exhibit at World Trade Center Manila last November 2015.

Also, the MCCI together with its members, took part in the historic 51st International Eucharistic Congress by supporting the first communicants during the congress.

Last year also marked a major milestone in the chamber’s history as MCCI celebrated its 50th founding anniversary with the theme “Celebrating Game Changers.”

Many of the events which were part of the celebration were undertaken during the Mandaue Business Month in August 2015.

The 50th founding anniversary celebration was concluded with the Gala Night where a number of individuals, organizations and member companies were recognized and honored for being true game changers in Mandue’s commerce and industry.

On the same night, the chamber also inducted 53 new members.

The general membership assembly on June 17 also elected the new Board of Trustees including the following: Stanley Go of Virginia Foods, Glenn Anthony Soco of Mandaue Integrated Manpower Services, Edgar Allan Po of Winner Plastic Product Corporation, Amado Go of Cenapro Chemical Corportion, Girlie Garces of San Miguel Brewery Incorporated, Mark Anthony Ynoc of San Remigio Properties, Wilson Ng of Ng Khai Development Corporation and Vicky Dy of Adnetwork Corporation.
