SHS-AdC female booters dominate Adidas Cup

THE Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) dominated the girls’ 2000-2001 category of the recently concluded Adidas Cup in Metro Manila.

The Magis Eagles, coached by Apple Bariñan, won the title by routing the Nomads FC, 1-0, in the championship round.

Itsuko Bacatan was named the MVP of the division as she scored the lone goal for the SHS-AdC.

Bacatan and teammate Arantxa Trebol scored a goal each in their 2-0 win over Vigan Kugtaleros in the semifinals.

In the elimination round, SHS-AdC logged four consecutive wins. The Cebuanas opened their campaign in Group B by defeating Nomads FC, 1-0, before nipping Baguio FC, 1-0. They went on to beat TYFA, 3-0, and Claret FC, 2-0, to stay spotless.
