Suspected drug pusher shot dead by police in Mandaue

A SUSPECTED drug pusher died after reportedly trying to resist arrest at Sitio Ihawan, Barangay Mantuyong Mandaue City at 3 pm Wednesday.

Chief Senior Insp. Hugo Rio Ipong, Centro police precinct chief, said Ricky Potot is in their watchlist. “We had a buy bust operation we appealed to him to surrender but he didn’t,” Ipong said.

Ipong said Potot pulled out his .38 revolver and tried to shoot the arresting officers. Two sachets suspected to contain shabu were recovered from Potot, who was rushed to the Mandaue District Hospital but failed to make it.
