Six caught in buy bust in Marigondon, Lapu

SIX persons were arrested in a buy bust operation in sitio Hawaiian, barangay Marigondon in Lapu-Lapu City last Saturday evening.

Joebert Rosquillo, a 36-year-old resident of the area, was rushed to the hospital after he was shot by police in his right leg when he tried to fire at a police officer posing as a buyer.

Senior Insp. Jimmy Fortes, Marigondon police chief, said Rosquillo surrendered to them during Oplan TokHang. Five other persons inside his house were arrested.

They were identified as Arnel Guillarawan, 32, of Basak, Lapu-Lapu, Joshua Minoza, 20, Marilyn Bravo, 24, an entertainer of Ichia Uni Bar and residing at Kagudoy Basak, Joan Capricho, 24, of Hawaiian Marigondon, also an entertainer of Ichia Uni Bar and Renato Saranza, 36, of Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu, a construction worker.

Police recovered from Rosquillo, 21 pieces of small sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, P400 believed to be proceeds from the sale of shabu, P400 marked money and .357 revolver.
