THE Department of Health (DOH), Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) and Smart Communications recently awarded the winners of #ThinkOpen: Hackathon for Health during the 5th Philippine eHealth Summit held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

The health hackathon, co-organized by the DOH, DOST, and Smart, aimed to help improve the delivery of healthcare services to more Filipinos with the use of technology.

Smart has opened up its Secured Health Information Network and Exchange (SHINE) OS+ platform so developers can design plug-ins and additional modules for more efficient and cost-efficient delivery of health services.

The 98Labs team members Cris Allan Danos, Hans Torres, Geoffrey Ayap, and Allan Danos won the SHINE OS+ Award.
