A FIRECRACKER maker lost his shanty to a fire caused by a pile of whistle bombs that exploded at Sitio Radar, Barangay Babag in Lapu-Lapu City at past 4 p.m. Thursday.
Senior Fire Officer Arnold Cavan said the 50-year-old Aristuto Amion was sub-contracted to make the firecrackers. Amion was loading powder to a whistle bomb when it exploded.
Cavan said the shanty was isolated and far from any residential area. The damage was pegged at P1,500.
