A 16-year-old girl was in serious condition after she allegedly shot herself in front of her boyfriend.
Ana (not her real name) of Barangay Baring, Carmen town, northern Cebu sustained a gunshot wound in her right temple with the bullet exiting her left temple.
PO2 Ronald Gomez of Danao City Police Station said that last Thursday noon, Ana went to the house of her alleged boyfriend, a certain Kenneth Lao of Barangay Guinsay, Danao City.
But the two allegedly quarreled over jealousy. The girl suddenly took Lao’s firearm and shot herself in the right temple.
Ana was brought to Danao City District Hospital and was later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
The police are now looking for Lao, including the gun used by Ana.
As of yesterday, no relatives of the victim came to the police station to ask for an investigation of the incident.
