FOR the second straight year, Cebu City will be hosting the annual Asia Pacific University Games (APUG) scheduled on Dec. 2 to 8 at the Cebu Coliseum.

Cebu City also hosted the competition’s inaugural season which was won by Japan’s Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU).

APUG’s first season featured three events namely: basketball, badminton and table tennis.

The first year of APUG drew six universities. It is expected to attract more participants this year as it added two more events—tennis and swimming.

The country was represented last year by University of Cebu, University of San Carlos and University of Southern Philippines Foundation.
