DISCIPLINE ZONES

Netizens praised Cebu City Hall’s demolition team who cleared Osmeña Boulevard of sidewalk vendors.

A netizen named Henry Silestino wrote, “It’s about time they decided to do that. It’s so samok (disruptive) when you walk along the sidewalk near Cebu City Coliseum, hope they could do something about it.”

Marfran Param said, ”Ibalik ang sidewalk sa mga taw … gihimo man ni nila og (Return the sidewalks to the people. They made it like their own) private property.”

Rico Lontoc also wrote, “Mao nay sakto sidewalk para sa mga tao nga mag lakaw dili para sa mga (That’s right, the sidewalk is for the pedestrians, not for the) vendors.”

Greg Fortuna said, ”Sa kadugay na ani na samok, karon pa sila naka decide na mag clear, I hope they will clear the entire sidewalk in Cebu, and build an area kung asa sila mabalhinan pud kai looy sila (For so long they have been a nuisance, it’s only now they decide to clear it. I hope they clear the entire sidewalk in Cebu and build an area where they can be transferred since they are pitiful).”
