Panthers cruise to seventh straight victory in Elite Cebu
THE PANTHERS continued to prove their championship caliber as they routed the Rams, 103-74, in the Elite Basketball Club – Cebu Season 10 over the weekend at the Visayan Glass Gym in Cebu City.
Neil Buot once again spearheaded the Panthers with 29 points while Prince Panes backed him with 26 markers.
The Panthers improved to a clean 7-0 (win-loss) slate while the Rams, who were also missing the services of their running MVP candidate Sam Hermosa, fell to 4-3.
The Turtles also improved to 3-4 with an 82-71 win over the Sharks.
Melson Basubas and Jonathan Adlawan led the Turtles with 34 and 20 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Michael Tan scored 20 points in the Cheetah’s 67-64 victory over the Wolves.
The Lions got solid contributions from Lorenzo Bacaltos, Jon Chua, and Justin Delos Reyes, who each tallied 16, 14, and 13 points, respectively, to defeat the Stallions, 62-53.
The Tigers easily cruised to their sixth win of the season with a default victory over the Bulldogs.
