Despite that both of them are still vying for the top position in Cebu City, former Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama and Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgar Labella assured that their group, Barug Team Rama – PDP Laban, is still intact.
“The matter should be referred to the rest of the group. You know, we may have our own, personal desires. But by the end of the day, it should be our group who will decide – sooner. The filing of COC (certificate of Candidacy) is still in October, that’s still a long time,” said Labella.
Rama and Labella were present during the oath-taking ceremony of newly-appointed city Councilor Erik Miguel Espina today at the Court of Appeals.
Both also said no conflict has risen between them since they both announced their plans to run for the mayoralty race this May 2019 elections.
“In a family, we are one. We, Barug Team Rama, is still a family,” said Rama.
