Cebu City, Philippines — The MSBC Riders and the Dax Riders advanced to the championship round of the Riders Basketball League after they hurdled their respective opponents in the semifinals on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the Casals Village Gym.
The MSBC Riders defeated the C-Nine Angkas, 59-54, behind the 15-point outing of Toytoy Minoza.
Jas Suquib, Michael Grafilo, John Capuyan, Digoy Rodrigo and Gerry Molina also connived to score 40 points to get MSBC the victory.
Standing opposite them will be the Dax Riders, which beat the Friday Club, 74-61, to advance to the best-of-three title series.
Noel Torrefiel paced Dax with 18 points while Mark Flores contributed 16.
Glen Quentero and Almar Cabinte also reached double-figures in scoring, tallying 13 and 12 markers, respectively.
Game 1 of the best-of-three affair will be this Sunday, March 31, at the same venue.
