Some 60,000 skilled workers, trainers who graduated from the Technical Vocational Education and Training of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) can benefit in the nationwide skills assessment from May to October.
Assessment and acquiring the national certification for automotive, land transport, and heating, ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration, construction and metals and engineering, tourism, electronics and information communications technology, agri-fishery/food processing and health and other social community development are offered for free.

A national certificate will serve as their key in landing a better job, he added.
“It is important that the skilled workers upgrade their skills in order to get a higher level of qualification,” Tesda-7 Regional Director Rosanna Urdaneta said.
